AVLOKAN - AWARENESS WORKSHOP ON ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGIES



OBJECTIVE

Avlolan is a series of The main objective of this program is to spread awareness about the needs, challenges and strengths of the visually impaired. Further, through showcasing of our development efforts in this space, we hope to sensitize as well as inspire other students and professional technologists to pursue R&D in this domain.


FIFTH AVLOKAN EVENT

On 23rd April 2016, Assistech conducted the 5th Awareness Workshop as a part of IIT Delhi Open House 2016. Avlokan aims as sensitizing the mainstream society about the needs, challenges and strengths of the visually impaired and also about various modern and affordable assistive technologies being developed by Assistech Lab. The event was attended by a very wide range of people including school children, special educators, research institutions among others. THIRD AVLOKAN EVENT

On 18th April 2015, Assistech conducted the 3rd Awareness Workshop as a part of IIT Delhi Open House 2015. SECOND AVLOKAN EVENT

On 2nd March 2015, the second Avlokan event was organised as a part of Tryst, the annual science and technology festival of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. The event continued throughout the day where Assistech Team demostrated all the projects and assistive devices being developed in Assistech Lab.


FIRST AVLOKAN EVENT

On 30th October 2014, Assistech organised a day long event partnered with Score Foundation. During the first half of the event a chess match was organised between IITD students & All India Chess Federation for the Blind (AICFB) students, followed by a very inspiring lecture by Mr. George Abraham, CEO, Score Foundation. The event was concluded with project demostrations by the Assistech Team.
